By installing the AddBike on your bike, you can enjoy a compact, urban front cargo bike. With the AddBike+ unique and patented tilting wheels system (the wheels lean to the sides during turns), your bike will upgrade into a handy cargo bike.

Discover our range of modules, that can be easily added onto the AddBike+ for: child, dog and load transport. There are many ways of using this cargo bike conversion kit: everyone can have a way of moving around daily according to their needs. Choose your module (Carry’Box Kid, Carry’Box and Carry’Dog) and turn your bike into a fun, practical and cost-effective means of transportation.
WARNING: The AddBike+ has a tilting wheel system. We therefore don’t recommend it to people who are looking for a stable bike. If that’s what you’re looking for, we recommend the B-Back instead, our accessory for turning your bike into a tricycle.
EASY TO INSTALL
Simply remove your bike’s front wheel and place its fork on our Quick-Fix system to secure the attachment. The AddBike+ has a built-in, ready-to-use high-end brake system. Simply place the brake lever on your handlebar. You can then keep your old brake lever on or remove it.
ADDBIKE ON ALL BIKES
The AddBike + is designed to be universal and can be fitted to almost any bike available on the market: whether it’s electric or not, a mountain bike, a folding bike,… You can therefore turn any bike into a cargo bike!
OPTIMISED DRIVING
The AddBike+ has a tilting wheel system, you will therefore be able to make turns just like on a normal bike: this way, you will be able to ride it just like a bicycle, while still being able to carry loads. You can also adjust the AddBike+ wheels position to optimise the ride depending on how you use it (“empty” / “loaded”) or your riding preferences. Be careful, driving sensations are very different from an adult trike.
STABILISE THE ADDBIKE + AT STANDSTILL
By using the tilt lock lever on the handlebar, the AddBike+ can be stable when at standstill. This makes it easier to load and unload the bike and to hop on and off the saddle.
QUICK LEARNING PHASE
You can adjust the tilting level thanks to the Curve-Assist system (tilting wheels): if you prefer, you can reduce the tilting. This way, you can make it easier to handle while getting used to the product.
Riding our cargo bike conversion kit – things you need to know
Curve-Assist system
The AddBike+ has a Curve-Assist system: when you take a turn, both wheels lean to the side (like the “3-wheel scooters”). This way, you can ride it like a bicycle, while still being able to carry loads.
Our double-patented system has several advantages:
- When the wheels lean to the side during a turn, the base stays parallel to the ground: the passengers and/or carried objects can enjoy a smooth and pleasant ride,
- The Curve-Assist has differentiated tilting per wheel: when taking a turn, the inner wheel leans farther than the outer wheel. This allows the user to have more storage space while staying dynamic! After all, the purpose of the AddBike is to carry!
Riding experience
Cargo bikes are part of the cycle family but riding one can feel quite different from a riding normal bike. This is also the case with the AddBike+.
Adding the AddBike+ to your bike and using the Curve-Assist can bring new riding sensations. Whether you’re a bicycle expert or a complete beginner, you might need to practice for a few minutes or even a few days before being fully comfortable. Generally, if you’re an experienced cyclist, you will quickly get the hang of it. However, if you are a beginner, you might need more time to adapt so get ready to practice for a few days!
To help you in doing so, the tilting of the Curve-Assist (3 positions) as well as other settings can be adjusted in order to find the perfect riding sensations for you.
Agility vs stability
Our Curve-Assist system is particularly interesting when you want to keep a bicycle’s dynamism and agility. Even when carrying loads, you can ride out of the saddle, make tight u-turns, or curve at high speed just like on a normal bike!
However, this riding system isn’t made for people looking for adult tricycle-like stability. Even though the AddBike+ adds two wheels to the front of your bike, riding it requires as much balance and skill. So, if you aren’t comfortable riding a normal bike, or if you have balance and/or motor problems, we don’t recommend the AddBike+.

16″/20″ adapter
For 16 to 20 inch bikes, you have the possibility to buy an adapter kit :
This kit allows you to install the AddBike + on an 16 to 20 inch bike. It’s made up of an axle, two nuts and two adapters. It replaces the AddBike+’s original axle, which isn’t suitable for 16 to 20 inch bikes.
12 mm thru axle
This kit consists of two adapters and replaces the AddBike+ original ones.
They are used to insert the host bike Ø12mm/0.5″ thru axle (for a centre distance of 100mm/3.9″ to 110mm/4.3″) to install the AddBike +.
15 mm thru axle
This kit consists of two adapters and replaces the AddBike + original ones.
They are used to insert the host bike Ø15mm/0.6″ thru axle (for a centre distance of 100mm/3.9″ to 110mm/4.3″) to install the AddBike +.

Is the AddBike+ compatible with my bike?
Probably! The AddBike+ is compatible with almost every bike. Except carbon fork bikes, racing bikes, BMX bikes and FatBikes. You can check the compatibility here.
Is it easy to install/uninstall it?
Yes! The first installation can take quite some time, that’s why we’ve created a tutorial that we recommend you watch. Once you get used to it, you’ll be able to do it in 5 minutes.
Can I block the tilting wheel system?
The tilting wheels system stops at a standstill, in parking/loading mode. While driving, there is a lever that allows to stiffen the wheels in order to tilt them less, but you cannot totally block it.
